The Difference Between Being Born and Bred in Southern California and Growing Up in South Dakota

Is never more apparent than when hubby (So. Dak.) and I (So. Cal.) wake up to a morning like this:

At 7:30 AM:

I am all that is delighted and giddy; he is all that is uninterested or mildly annoyed.  I know this isn't a lot of snow, but the delicate flakes are still silently falling and I've hope that we'll get a little accumulation.  Whoo-hoo!

Oh the weather outside's delightful
But Jason is just so spiteful
If we have to drive we'll take it slow
So let it snow!  Let it snow!  Let it snow!

Update at 9:45 AM:

It continues to fall!  I'm tickled to death; Jason is, I am sure, not as enthusiastic.

Update at 11:30 AM:

And so the back door doesn't feel left out:

All of this snow, of course, leads to this:

With this:

And this:

Twinings Earl Grey Tea, Tea Bags, 50-Count Boxes (Pack of 6)
Happy Snow Day!

Happy snow day to you! My time will come...sadly all too soon.

Lovely choice of tea!

Ha! I actually lied without meaning to -- thought it would be the Earl, but it ended up being his Lady.

I bet you folks up in VT think us WA people nuts for shutting down town over a couple inches of snow.

Took Jason more than 3 hours to make it home -- and he had to abandon his car on a hill. Yikes! So, no wonder he hates the stuff, eh?

Well, just because he's got good reason to hate it doesn't mean you need to hate it with him, so nothing wrong with enjoying it yourself! =) Beautiful pictures of the snow and of Sadie.
