About Posting ...

It is so nice to read things like Andrea's asking me to post more often -- would she believe that I have about four different posts I am working on? But, I might not post for a little while, because I have four books I'm in the middle of right now. One of them is The Singing Season by Isabel Paterson, which I got from the inter-library loan and can only have for three weeks with NO renewal. I'm desperate to read this book, so almost every moment not dedicated to momming and wifing will be spent in stolen moments wandering through 14th Century Spain and the adventures and trials and romance that befall the two lovers, Isabella and Roderigo. I'm also reading Walking on Water: Reflections on Faith and Art by Madeleine L'Engle, which is so amazing and breathtaking -- I'm just entranced (it's so hard to put it aside, even for The Singing Season). I'm almost done with An Honest President: The Life and Presidencies of Grover Cleveland by H. Paul Jeffers, which has only served to make me more depressed than usual about the political weasels we're stuck with nowadays in the USA. I've also started Disappointment with God by Philip Yancey, which is excellent too, but has the lowest priority (since I own it, but have the others from the library). So, I'm so busy reading, it is hard to find time to put the thought and effort into writing that I find necessary. I'm still reading everyone else's blogs (more reading!) and commenting when I can.

In the meantime, Happy Thanksgiving!! So much for which to be thankful -- my cup runneth over.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. -- James 1:17

Happy Thanksgiving!

Do what you love. We'll always be around to read when you post.

I'm sure that Andrea meant that as a supreme compliment. We all love to read what you write. You have been gifted in this area. I sure understand about being busy and that is why I'm way behind on my emails and my blogs, etc, plus I have so many things I want to get done at home. But, alas, I am a turtle and will probably not turn into a hare any time (though I've wished to be speedier and able to multitask with ease so many times). So I plod along and eventually I hope I get what was really important done.
Soooo...enjoy your reading. I've got some of that I'd like to do, too. And when you get inspired to write or have time to finish one of those posts that you are working on, I will be glad to read and comment as led.
Love and shalom,
Serena

Oh dear -- I never meant to say that I felt oppressed by the nice comment Andrea made -- I was rather reveling in it and reflecting upon it. I have a lot that I'm working on, simply because I enjoy writing and love this venue as a means of expression. The idea that such great folks as y'all stop by and read what I write is icing on the cake.

Having you stop by and comment is such a blessing to me -- I love the feedback (it keeps me honest and striving for better). Oooh, but I do enjoy reading too. Life is all about balance in most things and complete abandon in some.

Maybe this was also a way of warning that more reviews are coming. :)

Adieu!

I enjoy your reviews. I'm particularly intrigued by the book you're reading on Grover Cleveland. I have to say, he was nothing more than a presidential name to me. Sounds like there is actually a lot to learn by reading up on him.

I enjoy all your posts, and also your reviews. I'd like the review on the Clancy one when you finish. I guess I'm struggling in that area myself right now.
Hope you had a very happy Thanksgiving!!
